| Sunday 05 February 11:47 : Benefits of Exercising |
| 486 views, 0 comments |
Our body chemistry requires that waste materials resulting from body metabolism are disposed by three major outlets: urine, faeces and sweat. It is common knowledge that the human body constituents comprise of 65% liquid and as such it is therefore no coincidence that two out of three sources of disposing body wastes come by way of liquids.
This now brings us to the first major benefit that exercises do to our body system. By exercising the body heat is generated at a higher level than normal and the result is sweating. Extra sweating therefore speeds up the rate at which liquid intake is disposed from the body. This in turn demands that we drink more water in the process thereby assisting the kidneys in the process of waste accumulation and disposal. This can be likened to the process of cleaning even our clothes. The more water you have available the faster the soap used in the washing is cleared.
In another note also, exercising the body helps the blood circulation system thereby giving our all-important heart less work to do. This happens when the heat generated during the exercise makes the body warm or hot depending on the amount of exercise. When the body is warm the blood vessels dilate (i.e. they become wider than normal) thereby allowing freer flow of blood through the body. As we understand that the heart\'s amjor job is pumping blood around the body, the freer the passage way the easier for the heart. This again can be likened to fuel hose for our cars. If the hoses are blocked or are not big enough they will require higher pressure from the pump for fuel to flow through them. It is this reason why one of the antidotes of high blood pressure is performing regular exercise majorly to burn out fats that hamper free flow of blood in the body system. |
